Several years on, there’s no stopping the gentle force that is Bev Forbes and her talented cooking team, celebrating the rich culinary heritage that fuses Spanish, French, African, Amerindian and Indian cuisine, music and art with spectacular results and a relaxed vibe. • The opportunity for proprietor (and kitchen main man) Branatic ‘Chef’ Neufville to share the Jamaican cooking he learned from his grandma as a boy. And share he does, his personality as generous as his portions, at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Venue food editor Tony Benjamin wants to be adopted: ‘With well laid-out tables set with rolled linen napkins, it’s clear on arrival that Chef wants you to take the food seriously. There’s a wide-ranging choice of dishes, mostly identified by their Jamaican place of origin, with fish well represented.’ Plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices.
