With its flamboyant cocktail lounge, elegant dining room, delectable food and funky late-night bar, The Square is a must for people looking for an entire evening of decadence and pleasure. From the moment you step inside the luxurious lounge, you're in for a treat. Filled with striking sculptures and beautiful artwork, there's eye candy everywhere in this fashionably theatrical setting. The Square Ôpre-dinner drink' becomes an experience in itself.
The dining room looks more classic in style, with regency red walls, crisp white linen and sash windows overlooking the grandeur of Berkeley Square. Evenings are relaxed and intimate, with excellent service ensuring that time spent here is as agreeable as it is atmospheric.
Head chef Damien Ryder and his team of young, talented chefs create exquisite classic European cuisine with a twist, combining Asian, English and Mediterranean flavours with quality ingredients sourced locally. He devises seasonal a la carte menus, and there's a lighter menu for less formal dining in the lounge. The modern and reliably well-informed wine list has been expertly selected to complement the food.
The Square is a highly social place to dine, hosting monthly wine suppers where Damien experiments with themed taster menus and a superb wine selection. There are regular film nights, live music soirees and, on Thursdays, all dinner guests are welcome to try their hand at a game of poker. A cocktail at the downstairs bar is a fantastic way to end a delightful evening.
