This place is a hidden gem. In a world that seems overrun with franchise establishments, stumbling across a small, well-established, independent restaurant is an altogether welcome experience. Around the corner from College Green on St Georges Road, Dusk offers you a trendy New York restaurant right in the heart of Bristol, and proposes a refreshingly modern approach to steakhouse cuisine.

Dusk’s warm and inviting atmosphere indulges your senses with a modern, sophisticated look: soft lighting against a streamlined interior with cherrywood fittings and Italian furniture. Set across a number of different rooms, Dusk is able to create the perfect ambience, whether you’re after an intimate meal for two or a place to have a party.

The 100% Scottish beef includes choice cuts of fillet, sirloin, rump and T-bone steaks, from 8oz-24oz. A selection of fresh seafood and a seasonal range of fish main courses are also on offer, as well as a selection of delicious vegetarian options. All mains come with two choices of sides (dauphinoise potatoes or chips and salad or seasonal vegetables). Top it all off with a scrummy dessert and Lavazza coffee (all very reasonably priced), and you can’t fail to go home satisfied.

They’re open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday, lunch on Friday and Saturdays, and traditional Sunday roast too. Dusk is definitely one for the diary.
