"Blackstones is fresh, modern and good value, with easy-to-love staff, easy-to-take prices and easy-to-eat food,” wrote Terry Durack in The Independent on Sunday.

Rebecca and Daniel Blackstone won a loyal following in Bath with their first venture, Blackstones Kitchen. Drawing on Rebecca’s experience as a chef and food stylist and Daniel’s front-of-house experience in some of the finest restaurants in London, the natural next step was to open Blackstones Restaurant in 2006.

The Blackstones ethos of impeccable sourcing and simple preparation still applies. But the restaurant provides a stylish space in which to sit down and savour a more formal menu for lunch and dinner. At the weekend, brunch is available too. The menus change monthly, drawing inspiration from the fantastic produce of the West Country. The wine list is concise yet varied and all wines are available by the glass or carafe, allowing diners to match wines to each course and try something new. Blackstones Restaurant is in a beautiful Georgian townhouse, tucked away in a quaint cobbled street. It’s hard to believe that you are moments away from the bustling shops of central Bath. Inside all is light and airy with stripped wooden floors and vibrant tables in pink and green providing a convivial atmosphere.

In 2007 a private dining area will open, consisting of two elegant rooms suitable for all occasions, from business meetings to product launches and wedding receptions. Blackstones Restaurant has won plaudits from some of the country’s top restaurant guides and reviewers.
