... venue magazine
bristol &
bath’s best what’s on guide
five
reasons why venue magazine will work for you...
1 Bristol is one of the most
vibrant and exciting cities in the UK. Bath is one of the most affluent.
Home to such national stars as Massive Attack, Portishead and Peter
Gabriel, both cities are awash with brilliant restaurants, bars, clubs
and galleries. They are also served by the best regional what’s
on guide in the country Ð the long-established, widely respected
and hugely influential Venue magazine.
2 Venue is the premier
arts, entertainment and leisure guide for Bristol and Bath and an essential
part of the cultural mix that makes the area so popular. Often referred
to as the Time Out of the West Country, Venue reaches a significant
audience of young, intelligent, hip, active, urban adults who use the
magazine each week to plan their leisure time.
3 Venue readers often start
buying the magazine when they come to the area as students. Around 40%
of Bristol graduates stay in the area, often taking up positions in
local companies on graduate training programmes, leading to fast-track,
well-paid careers. These Venue readers have a high disposable income
and the leisure time to enjoy it. They become loyal to Venue and trust
the magazine to point them at the best that the local scene has to offer.
4 Advertising in Venue works
on its own or as part of a wider media mix. Many of our advertisers
are regulars and some have been loyal to Venue for the past 20 years.
5 Venue has very low duplication
with other media - Venue readers are low consumers of commercial TV
and radio and few readers buy the local evening papers. This means that
your advertising will attract a new and otherwise hard-to-reach audience,
and will add coverage to your schedule.
