Time: 8pm Matthew Shipp spent some time as an energetic young sidesman on the 70s US jazz and rock scene before emerging as a pioneering advocate for (and player of) free jazz both as a member of groups - notably his longstanding membership of the David Ware Quartet - and as a solo perfomer.
